What We Do

Medical training is focused on maternal/child health:

As part of STEP-UP, the medical team (now WotW) has traveled almost annually to northern Uganda since 2011 to do medical capacity building in Aswa County (now the Gulu District).
Using a trainer of trainers model, the medical team provided training of several evidence based curricula developed by the World Health Organization to midwife trainers who have in turn trained over 100 skilled health providers throughout Gulu District, making sure that any skilled health provider (midwife, nurse, clinical officer) who may be called to a delivery has essential core knowledge and skills.
