What We Plan
Subsequent goals center on providing higher levels of training to health care providers staffing referral centres.
Future training options include:
- Bleeding After Birth Complete
(higher level care of Post-Partum Hemorrhage) - Pre-eclampsia/Eclampsia Part II
(higher level care of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia) - Threatened Premature Labour
- Essential Care of the Small Baby
- Basic obstetric ultrasound
Our model has been very successful. A long term goal, resource dependent, would be for WotW to replicate our work throughout other districts in northern Uganda.
We have successfully trained over 100 health care providers staffing 26 health centers scattered miles apart, attending over 3500 deliveries annually.
